Finish is what the Central Springs Panthers softball team hopes to do this postseason.

MANLY, Iowa - Finish.

This has been the focus for the Central Springs Panthers softball team all season.

They're following the roadmap and the end is in sight.

The Panthers punched their ticket to state, blanking Columbus Catholic 6-0 in the Class 2A Region 5 Championship game.

This is the 9th year in a row the team has made it to the State Tournament.

Last year, they fell to Regina Catholic in the semifinal game.

The Panthers have spent a lot of time working on defense heading into next week's matchup and they're hoping to finish the job.

"Trying to build the legacy the other seniors left before us.  And trying to just be the best we can be and have the most fun we can.  We obviously want to go down and win a State Championship," says Aurora Stepleton.

"I want to leave it all out on the field, but this year is different  because it's our last opportunity, so I'm just pumped to leave it all out on the field," says Abby Pate.

The Panthers face West Monona in the first round of the State Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
